Info for sponsors
FACES OF ADDICTION, Inc is a not-for-profit corporation, incorporated in the state of Ohio (501-C3 status pending). Both in-kind and monetary donations are welcome.
Sponsors have a unique opportunity to actually do something to humanize the problem of addiction by seeing addicted persons as individuals, not as objects. This is the difference between “that junkie” and”Lisa Peterson.”
Individual Sponsors who donate over $100 will receive an 8×10 portrait from the Collection. This may be chosen from a set that will be posted once the 30-subject goal is reached. Each photo will be on archival quality paper, signed by photographer Eric Hatch.
Individual Sponsors who give over $500 will receive a 16×20 print on fine-art paper.
Corporate and institutional sponsors will be credited on the website and may have their logos displayed on the “About” page of the Faces of Addiction Website. Prominent recognition will be given in a catalog raisonné in the event a gallery or museum exhibition is arranged.
There are cost estimates, but no fixed budget for the project.
Legal cost — covers formation of a 501c3 not-for-profit and associated legal and accounting costs. $1,500.
Photography – the photographer will absorb local transportation costs, etc. He will do all the photographic, writing, and photo editing pro bono. Bodyguard services and gift cards for McDonalds (to encourage cooperation) up to $150 per subject. Total $3,500 – 4,000.
Website – domain name, site design and development $1,800- 2,200.
e-Book – design cost $1,500. Publication cost — $300, including ISBN numbers.
Publicity —This project will benefit from sponsorship by organizations with strong PR departments. Social media campaigns and local press releases, plus local TV news, public radio, and public TV interviews are essential if the project is to have the impact it deserves. Costs here will depend on the mix of donated and paid services required. Could exceed actual production costs, but may be essentially free. Estimate: $5,000 – $12,000 or more.
Total costs will vary with the media and with the final number of images selected. These numbers are realistic estimates and should assure a successful project, even if the full scope is not realized.
501C3 certification is pending and is retroactive for 2018. Your contributions will be deductible for 2018 and later taxes. Click on “Donate to make a gift to this project
